Captured and combined images from a three month journey throughout Japan, finding luxurious dollops of nature.
The Raven were everywhere I traveled. A highly-intelligent, precocious and magical-trickster of a creature. A conduit for story-telling in countries, tribes and communities across the world. In Japanese mythology, this flying symbolic creature is called Yatagarasu (八咫烏, "eight-span crow") and the appearance of the great bird is construed as evidence of the will of Heaven or divine intervention in human affairs. A crow-god is a symbol specifically of guidance.
